Row houses no more

« Previous   Main  Next »

houses

My nephew (and fellow photographer) took me to a place in Cincinnati, Ohio that (at this point) only has a past. Row houses built around 1900 that have been abandoned for about 20 years. Structures that (to me) had no meaning and rows of boarded up row houses.
It was a photographer's dream come true. Thank you, Jason

The contrasts in this picture make it very eye-catching. This place has many photo opportunities to offer. Fine place to visit!

dear pieter,
fot someone whoe doesn't speak teh language you understood perfectly what my log was about, you can read between the lines:-))
since I can not read the poem I will take a guess.
The image is wonderful of a decomposing leave. The poem is about friends who stick with you during the "decomposing" times in our lives?

thank you,
i can imagine yor dream has come true here with those houses,
this urban exploration does you good:-)
gimme more:-)
with love

Great picture ! I like the blue hue of the background, in opposition with the yellowish remains of the house in front. Superb decay picture

Row houses are unhip, unsophisticated, for the uneducated and a perfect example of poor urbanisation.
But this photo is indeed just great. A dream to take photos of, that I believe.

Almost 3D, the special PP is very appealing to me.

Yes! These are special places to be for a photographer! I wish I could be there .. but, abandoned places are in all countries of the world: urban renovation, demolition, or big plans (dreams) of municipalities that don't come true because of political struggle.
